Maria Teresa heads the project and structured finance practice and has gained a significant experience in project financing transactions, both in infrastructure and energy sectors assists, as well as in other financing transactions, assisting on regular basis leading Italian and foreign sponsors and financial institutions.
Maria Teresa provides her legal assistance in all phases of such transactions, from the due diligence activities, risk analysis and allocation (both during construction and operation phase), drafting and negotiation of financial documents as well as project contracts with the relevant counterparties, until the financial closing.
In the energy sector, Maria Teresa was involved in structuring financing and re-financing transactions, also assisted by public guarantees, concerning, among others, photovoltaic, wind, hydroelectric, biomass and biomethane projects.

Maria Teresa also assisted leading financing institutions in financing transactions for energy infrastructure, such as district heating, cogeneration systems and gas transportation.
Maria Teresa was involved in infrastructure project financing transactions, including highway and motorway sector as well as hospital sector, gaining significant experience in public grants, as well as in the analysis, in a bankability perspective, of public concession agreements and other public contracts.
Maria Teresa regularly participates as speaker and lecturer in seminars and master’s programs in project finance and takes part in drafting of articles in the relevant market.

ICCREA Banca and other lenders belonging to the same group in structuring and drafting of a financing for the construction of photovoltaic plants owned by companies belonging to PLT Energia Group.

 

Intesa Sanpaolo S.p.A., Banco Santander and BayernLB in refinancing of a pipeline of photovoltaic plants owned by companies belonging to Green Arrow Capital SGR, for an amount of Euro 84,550,858.00.

 

Companies controlled by Obton A/S in the refinancing of two pipelines of photovoltaic plants (approximately, 200 photovoltaic plants), for an amount of, respectively, Euro 480,000,000.00 and Euro 126,600,000.00, granted by leading Italian and foreign financing institutions.

 

BPER Banca in refinancing of a pipeline of photovoltaic plants owned by companies controlled by Theia Holdings, for an amount of Euro 32,000,000.00.

 

Companies controlled by Bluefield Partners LLP in a refinancing of a pipeline of photovoltaic plants, for an amount of Euro 21,000,000.00, granted by UniCredit S.p.A..

 

Leading Italian bank in the financing, assisted by SACE guarantee, in favour of concessionaire operating in the gas distribution sector.

 

Companies controlled by L&L S.p.A. and Green Arrow Capital SGR, in financing transactions for the construction of plants for production and distribution of biomethane, for an amount, respectively, of Euro 56,100,000.00 and Euro 31,500,000.00, granted by leading Italian financing institutions.

UniCredit S.p.A., Intesa Sanpaolo S.p.A., Banco BPM and BNL in the refinancing in favor of TLRNet, an operator in district heating sector in Northern Italy, for an amount of Euro 92,000,000.00.
