Project Contracts – Research and Business Development

Daria has gained +10 years of experience drafting and negotiating the most relevant project contracts relevant to energy and infrastructure transactions, including EPC, BOP, TSA, O&M agreements, other form of procurement and construction contracts, supply agreements, service agreements and management agreements.
Daria also leads the research and business development practice of the firm which is dedicated to, inter alia, researching and studying the most innovative technologies of the energy industry, investigating market insights and trends, scouting projects being developed in all Italian regions and identifying the most active market investors, sponsors, developers and capital providers. Daria also coordinates the various partnerships Green Horse has with leading market and technology advisors.

Daria is also lecturer in “The EGP School of Business Development Program”, an Enel Green Power promoted course that is dedicated to its business development professionals and offered through the SDA Bocconi School of Management, the Business School of Bocconi University. Daria focuses her lessons on international business contracts, and in particular on project contracts, joint venture agreements and acquisition agreements.
During her career, Daria has spent several months working as a secondee for different clients, these include Canadian Solar (London Office), Tep Renewables and Talesun.

Notable Experience

 

Representative transactions Daria has recently advised include assistance to:

 

MEAG Munich Ergo, the asset management company of the Munich Re Group, as the subscriber of alternative debt instruments issued by Metaenergia for an overall value of €300 million in the context of the project financing for the construction of nine gas power plants developed by Metaenergia for the Italian peak capacity market.

 

FORESIGHT, in the arrangement and the subscription of a project bond worth €10 million for the refinancing of six photovoltaic plants in operation in Sicily, with a total capacity of about 6 MW. The bond is sponsored by Archimede Group and listed on the ExtraMOT PRO segment of Borsa Italiana, dedicated to green bonds.

 

Glennmont Partners with respect to the construction and maintance of +100 MW of solar and wind plants.

 

Glennmont and PGGM in the sale to ENI of one of the largest wind power portfolios in Italy. The portfolio being sold consisted of 13 onshore wind farms located in Southern Italy with a total installed capacity of approximately 315MW.

 

European Energy, with respect to the construction and maintenance of +100 MW solar and wind plants.

 

VEI Green, with respect to the construction and maintenance of +50 MW.

 

Several banks, including Natixis SA, Unicredit S.p.A. and Intesa Sanpaolo S.p.A, in the review, from a bankability perspective, of the projects contracts related to the assets being financed.
